Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+)
Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) is a natural coenzyme of vitamin B3 (niacin) and is present in every cell in your body. The compound fuels metabolic reactions and drives your cells to metabolize carbohydrates, fats, and amino acids. NAD+ is essential in every metabolic function and helps with the aging process, promotes athletic function, boosts brain repair and function by promoting healthy cell and DNA production. NAD+ is also considered the diamond standard in functional addiction medicine and aids in the treatment of depression.
As you age, the level of NAD+ in your cells decrease, prohibiting your natural ability to produce healthy cells and tissues. As a result, your mental and physical health can decline. Lifestyle factors can accelerate the decline of NAD+ in your cells, including stress, medications, viral infections, alcohol, and poor diet. As your NAD+ levels decrease, the physical symptoms of aging increase.
The results of increasing your intracellular levels of NAD+ may act as a reversal of age-related cellular dysfunction. You may have more energy, focus and overall improved health and wellness. You may be able to lose weight more effectively as well as concentrate and perform cognitive functions better. Patients have reported increased mental clarity following NAD+ infusions. Patients have also reported a reduction of anxiety, immediate improvement of depression, decrease need for ADHD meds and over all improved mood.
Results vary from person to person but on average NAD+ results last 5-30 days (from one infusion), depending on your age, condition, dose and your desired health goals. Most people experience longer lasting results with serial infusions of 3-5 or more.
*Health and wellness packages available upon request
IV Infusions
250mg (1-2hr) $375
500mg(2-4hr) $550
750mg(3-6hr) $800
1000mg(4-8hr) $950
*IV Infusions for NAD+ include Oxygen to help make temporary infusion effects more comfortable (if not contraindictated).
IV NAD+ is administered slowly and is rate, plus dose dependent and varies from person to person. NAD+ infusions cause rapid increases in cellular physiological activity which may initially manifest uncomfortable but EXPECTED mild side effects which usually resolve within 5-10min after infusion is finished. The rate however is dependent on how much each individual person can tolerate; most people can tolerate a faster infusion rate.
Add a quick Myers cocktail with Glutathione for $85 to enhance the effects of NAD+.
*Labs and additional Medical Clearance may be required for IV NAD+ administration.
*NAD+ INFUSIONS MUST BE SCHEDULED.
IM Injection Booster
Quick IM injections (less than 10min) are also available and take effect within 10-15minutes. Most people do not experience the side effects as intense as IV administration. While some expected side effects do occur with higher doses they resolve quickly and leave you feeling more energized. Many people use injections weekly, bi-weekly to monthly for anti-aging benefits, before a performance event, for post viral syndrome, liver support, management of depression, anxiety, energy and even to accelerate metabolism and weight loss.
*Cost is $1 per milligram
Potential Benefits and
Temporary Side Effects
Benefits may include:
Increased metabolism
Increased energy
Increased sports performance
Pain alleviation
Reduction in oxidative stress and inflammation
Alleviate substance addiction cravings (ETOH, opiates, benzodiazepines)
Prevent and correct DNA damage
Increased anti-aging benefits
Improved mental health and depression
Improved mental clarity and slowing of neurological diseases.
Possible Side Effects:
NAD+ activates mitochondrial activity and increases ATP production, which is energy that is present in every cell in our body, which produces more tissue metabolism and may cause temporary discomfort such as (but not limited to):
Chest pressure
Headache
Increased muscle excitability
Intestinal cramps (most reported)
Light-headedness
Nausea/vomiting
Sweating
While these are expected side effects, they can be alleviated by slowing infusion rate and adjusting the dose. They do resolve once infusion is slowed or finished. Most are mild and tolerable. Each person is different and results vary from person to person.
